Vietnam’s largest real estate company FLC Group establishes representative office in Tokyo
FLC Group is a major real estate company based in Hanoi, Vietnam. It was established in 2001 (changing its name to FLC Group in 2010) and is listed on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange with 7,000 employees.
The group has a diversified business in many sectors including real estate management; administration; advertising and consulting services; construction related to transportation, infrastructure and irrigation; tourism; freight forwarding services; and hotel and restaurant management.
In November 2017, the company opened a representative office in Tokyo’s Marunouchi District, its first overseas base, to conduct real estate projects. Japan’s former ambassador to Vietnam, Norio Hattori, has taken charge of the office. Through FLC’s Japanese branch, it aims to strengthen its relationship with local companies in the medical, agricultural, tourism and golf industries, in addition to real estate, and hopes to accelerate investment in Vietnam from Japan.
For the establishment of its representative office, the JETRO Invest Japan Business Support Center (IBSC) provided consultation and licensing information.
