Acceptance of upper Kon Tum hydroelectric reservoir

On February 20 in Kon Tum, the Government Council for Construction Acceptance conducted a meeting to review the results of Thuong Kon Tum reservoir under the hydroelectric project.

Mr. Le Quang Hung – Deputy Minister of Construction, Standing Vice Chairman of Government Acceptance Council chaired the meeting.

Based on the opinions of the investors, consulting units, contractors, the Standing Committee of the Council, the Expert Group and representatives of Council members, Deputy Minister Le Quang Hung  appreciated the efforts of investors and contractors in the process of project implementation. This project has many changes compared to the design, so it is necessary to consider the legal and technical aspects. Therefore, the investors needs to complete all relevant legal regulations.

The local side also needs to improve the legal basis to be eligible for acceptance. On this basis, the Council will issue a document, in which request to reserve the water according to the appropriate level, ensuring the safety of the project in the process of reserve and operating in the future.

Thuong Kon Tum Hydropower is built on the Dak Nghe River  in Dak Tang and Mang But Communes, KonPlong District, Kon Tum Province with a capacity of 220MW, the project is identified as an important infrastructure and industrial project of Kon Tum province. The total project investment is over VND 7,000 billion.
