SLP holds the groundbreaking ceremony of a grade A warehouse project with total leasable area of about 84,000 sqm in Long An Province, Vietnam

Ho Chi Minh City, 24 February 2022 – SLP has officially commenced construction of SLP Park Xuyen A (Phase 1) in My Hanh Bac commune, Duc Hoa District, Long An Province.

This is SLP’s second project in Long An province and its third project in Vietnam. SLP Park Xuyen A will feature a mixture of grade A double-storey and single-storey warehouse facilities upon completion. The project’s first phase is expected to be completed by Q1 2023, with a total leasable area of about 84,000 sqm.

SLP Park Xuyen A is located in Duc Hoa District, one of the three districts of Long An Province that borders Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC). The strategic location of the facility, positioned at the entrance of West HCMC, will facilitate customers to get access to Long An Province, Mekong Delta Region and HCMC. SLP Park Xuyen A is 30km from the center of HCMC and 25km from Tan Son Nhat International Airport.

Mr. Jenkin Chiang – CEO and Founding Partner of SLP shared, “The ongoing Covid pandemic has altered the market, driving the acceleration of e-commerce and strengthening both short-term and long-term demand for industrial real estate. In recent years, the demand for ready-built warehouses has also increased. With our projects, including SLP Park Xuyen A, we intend to meet customers’ increasingly diverse warehouse demands in a timely manner and capitalize on the early growth stages of Vietnam’s rapidly modernizing logistics landscape.”

Together with its strategic partner GLP, SLP recently launched GLP Vietnam Development Partners I (“GLP VDP I”) with an investment capacity of $1.1 billion, which is set to be one of SEA’s largest logistics development funds. So far, SLP has acquired six development sites with a total land area of approximately 860,000 sqm, focusing on Vietnam’s two largest markets, Greater Hanoi and Greater Ho Chi Minh City.

SLP has appointed Ricons as the general contractor for SLP Park Xuyen A (Phase 1) project.
