Vietnam Institute of Building Materials celebrated 50th anniversary
On November 4, 2019, in Hanoi, Vietnam Institute of Building Materials (VIBM) celebrated the 50th Anniversary of the Founding Day (November 4, 1969 – November 4, 2019).
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Pham Hong Ha, Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Construction; Mr. Nguyen Hong Quan, former Member of the Party Central Committee, former Minister of Construction; leaders of the Ministry of Construction and ministries, central branches; partner organizations; officials and employees of Vietnam Institute of Construction Materials in many periods.

Throughout its development history, VIBM has always focused on promoting research activities in service of government management of the Ministry of Construction. In addition to scientific activities in the country, VIBM also extends cooperation in technological research of construction materials with many scientific and technological organizations of advanced countries in the world. Promoting its strengths, the Institute is increasingly expanding the fields of research and manufacture of new materials, technologies for treating and recycling wastes to make raw materials and fuels for production of construction materials, contributing to reducing environmental pollution, saving resources. So far, the Institute has approached and mastered many advanced techniques, applied nanotechnology to manufacture a variety of light materials, soundproof, thermal insulation, energy saving and smart materials …
On the basis of inheriting important results achieved in the past 50 years, the Institute has built a development strategy into a strong scientific and technological organization based on three main factors: Scientific research and technology transfer; Educate; Technical services and constantly strive to become a prestigious scientific and technological organization in ASEAN region and around the world.
