Dialogue with overseas Vietnamese Entrepreneurs in Vinh Phuc province

Attending the Dialogue includes Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People’ Council Hoang Thi Thuy Lan; Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee (PPC), Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee Mr. Nguyen Van Tri; Mr. Le Duy Thanh – Commissioner of Standing Committee, Deputy Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Vu Hong Nam – Chairman of State Committee of overseas Vietnamese and Mr. Le Quoc Thinh – Deputy Chairman; Commissioners of Standing Committee; Leaders of departments, agencies,  units, and districts, cities and towns in the province together with attending of nearly 150 Businessmen, overseas from 18 countries.

Speaking at the seminar, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Tri was introduced on social economic development of Vinh Phuc province. Vinh Phuc had stared  from a poor province, the economic structure was mainly agricultural; with industrial development policy as a foundation; foreign direct investment attraction and enterprise development is an important driving force for economic growth. Vinh Phuc had breakthrough step, the right orientation, concentrating on leadership, direction and administration to create a favorable investment environment. The province’s economy is always higher growth than the average country; budget revenues continued to rise  increasingly and stable,  since 2004 Vinh Phuc is one of the few provinces can balance the budget and make contributions to the central budget; 2015 provincial budget revenues reached nearly 25,000 billion, of which domestic revenue was 22,000 billion. The economic structure shifted towards increasing the proportion of industry-construction and services, reducing the proportion of the agricultural sector. The economic structure of Vinh Phuc province in 2015: Agriculture, forestry and fisheries was 9.77%; Industry – Construction was 62.12%; the services sector was 28.11%. Currently, Vinh Phuc, known as the center of industrial development of automobiles, motorcycles in the country. Up to now, the province has 601 valid DDI projects with total registered capital of VND 44.023,61 billion; 205 FDI projects from 16 countries and territories in force with a total registered capital of US $ 3.252.31 million.

According to Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of PPC Nguyen Van Tri,  in order to achieve these results, Vinh Phuc province has made great efforts and determination in improving the investment environment, enhance provincial competitiveness. Vinh Phuc has focused on investment in building essential infrastructure to the fence of industrial zones; strengthening education and training, improving the quality of human resources; to promote administrative reform; At the same time, a number of mechanisms and incentives policies were issued for investors, particularly investors in the field of industrial electronics and telecommunications; industrial engineering, supporting industry… Vinh Phuc particularly was interested in the activities of “local investment promotion”, through the supporting activities and timely solve problems and create conditions for Projects that have invested in efficient operation of Vinh Phuc. Vinh Phuc Investment Promotion Agency under the direct authority of the Chairman of PPC, is the investment promotion agency as well as supporting investors and enterprises  in the beginning of learning investment environment as well as in the process of the production and business.

At the dialogue, Mr. Le Quoc Thinh, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Overseas Vietnamese said: “At present, Vietnamese community  living in 59 countries around the world, with about 4, 5 million people. in recent years, overseas Vietnamese are well complied with laws of the host country and produce positive business legitimate wealth for the family and society, and he said that It need to more responsible in building relationships of solidarity and diplomacy among countries with Vietnam and bring effort, intelligence and money to invest in the construction of programs and projects, job creation and making contributions to the state budget.”

Representatives of overseas business in the Russian Federation, Germany, the Kingdom of Thailand, Laos, the Republic of Hungary, the Commonwealth of Australia … expressed returning to Vietnam and coming to Vinh Phuc, They see better  development of the homeland, the interest of the Party and the State in general and in particular to Vinh Phuc overseas Vietnamese community. In the warm atmosphere, open-minded, businessmen, overseas in the seminar have  sincerely speech, thank you for creating the conditions and warm hospitality of Vinh Phuc province, expressed his pleasure at the provincial growth in recent years and shared desire to explore investment opportunities in Vietnam in general and in Vinh Phuc province near future  in particular.
