Additional planning on wind power project of VND 4,200 billion in Ha Tinh

HBRE Group’s project of more than VND 4,200 billion wind farms in Ha Tinh has just been approved by the Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc to add to the National Electricity Development Plan.

Information from the representative of HBRE Group said that recently Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has just agreed to add the planning of wind power projects to the national electricity development plan for the period of 2011-2020 with consideration to 2030 (adjusted VII electricity planning).

In particular, the project of HBRE Ha Tinh wind farm is the only project in Ha Tinh that is supplemented this plan according to the previous proposal of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

“We have now completed the procedures related to the design, financial preparation and negotiation with the turbine supplier to quickly implement the project to meet the set schedule,” said HBRE representative.

Earlier, on April 5, 2019, the Standing Committee of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee issued Document No. 848-TB / TU approving the policy of a competent authority to add the HBRE Ha Tinh wind farm project to the development plan of national electricity in the 2011-2020 period, with a vision to 2030 (revised VII electricity plan) and submit to the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Industry and Trade to consider and supplement the project into the national electricity development planning.

On March 19, 2020, the Ministry of Industry and Trade submitted a document to the Prime Minister to consider and supplement the planning of wind power projects, including the HBRE Ha Tinh wind farm project.

HBRE Ha Tinh wind farm project has a total capacity of 120MW. The project will be invested to build in Hoanh Son mountain range of Ky Anh district (former) now in Ky Anh town.

The total investment for this project is expected to be over VND 4,258 billion. In particular, 30% of the capital of the business, 70% of investors mobilized from bank credit loans and other lawful capital sources.

As planned, the HBRE Ha Tinh wind farm project is expected to be allocated on an area of 1,400 ha.

The project is expected to be divided into 3 phases. In particular, phase 1 – survey, erection of wind measurement stations and wind data collection will deploy installation of wind measurement stations with a height of 80 – 100m, land area of about 3,600m2 in Ky Nam commune, town. Ky Anh; collecting and evaluating wind data.

Phase 2 – evaluation of feasibility, formulation of investment projects and implementation of relevant procedures. In case of evaluation of wind data in the feasible area, the survey will be conducted on the proposed area of 1,400 ha (of which the estimated land area of the project is 3,4ha) and the first project is prepared. In case the wind data in the area is not feasible, it will be dismantled and measured. Phase 3 is the investment phase.

The project is expected to be built and put into operation by the end of 2021.

In addition to Ha Tinh, HBRE has been investing in wind power projects in Dak Lak (30MW) – generating electricity, projects in Gia Lai (total capacity of 100MW) – under construction, projects in Phu Yen ( 200MW) – started in the third quarter of 2020, the offshore Vung Tau project (500MW) – is submitting for additional planning.
