Thua Thien-Hue seeks tourism investment
Deputy PM Vuong Dinh Hue hoped that Thua Thien-Hue would become a hub of tourism, service, healthcare, science, technology and education.
The Thua Thien Hue provincial People’s Committee and the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Viet Nam (BIDV) on August 8 convened a seminar to call on investment and tourism development in the central province.
Destination of tourism
Chairman of the Thua Thien-Hue provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Cao revealed that the locality is deploying two strategies to convert Hue into a city of heritages via the brand name “One destination – five heritages;” and develop Chan May-Lang Co.
Mr. Cao called on enterprises to invest in the locality and pledged to offer favorable investment environment and extricate business obstacles.
The local authorities also promised to improve infrastructure and provide labor resources.
On this occasion, the People’s Committee granted 16 investment business licenses worth VND 7,444.5 billion and signed six cooperative deals with partners.
Addressing the event, Deputy PM Hue proposed the local authorities announce clearer investment policies to lure FDI projects; focus on healthcare, education, high-tech, and organization of cultural events.
