Seminar on Carbon Emissions Reporting – From Compliance to Competitive Advantage
In the context of globalization, data transparency, accurate greenhouse-gas (GHG) inventory reporting, and the optimization of carbon-emission reduction efforts have become irreversible strategic steps toward achieving carbon neutrality. For manufacturing enterprises in Vietnam, conducting GHG inventories and verifying emissions across the value chain is increasingly becoming a mandatory requirement for international expansion and deeper integration into global supply chains.
In practice, many Vietnamese manufacturers still lack clarity on the current GHG regulatory framework, remain uncertain about future policy directions, and do not yet have access to the necessary tools, solutions, or roadmaps to meet compliance requirements. This not only limits their ability to strengthen competitive advantages but also places them at risk when approaching high-standard export markets such as the European Union. Moreover, compliance obligations related to GHG inventory, reporting, and carbon-emission standards require substantial investments in finance, human resources, and time.
Recognizing these challenges, seminar on “Carbon Emissions Reporting: From Compliance to Competitive Advantage”, organized by HOUSELINK Joint Stock Company with support from GLASSDOME and FPT Software Company Limited, and with trusted collaboration from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and the Embassy of Korea, aims to deliver clear, practical objectives designed to support Vietnamese manufacturers on their journey toward compliance and sustainable development:
- Provide comprehensive legal framework: Equip environmental teams and relevant personnel with a complete understanding of domestic and international GHG regulatory frameworks, while analyzing future policy trends to help businesses prepare proactively.
- Offer a concrete action checklist: Support enterprises in developing a clear roadmap and detailed action list to meet GHG inventory compliance obligations and mitigate legal risks.
- Introduce optimized technologies and solutions: Present advanced methodologies, digital technologies, and data – management solutions that enhance the efficiency of GHG inventory reporting while optimizing costs and implementation time.
