DIC aspires to a large-scale golf complex in Vinh Phuc
International standard DIC Star Hotel is a stepping stone for Development and Investment Company to develop a hotel-golf course complex of more than 800 hectares in Vinh Phuc province.
Development and Investment Company (DIC) has just opened DIC Star hotel with 206 five-star rooms in Vinh Yen city, Vinh Phuc province. The project has a total investment of $34.6 million. It is put into operation in two phases, and 32 villas will be opened for business on April 30th, 2019 during Phase 2.
Apart from the guests who are public service guests of enterprises operating in Vinh Phuc as well as events and conferences, DIC Chairman Nguyen Thien Tuan revealed that the hotel also aimed at golfers from Korea and Japan. DIC will attract golfers through its investment promotion company in Korea, DIC – Korea which has been established for two years, and it is promoting cooperation with Japanese partners.
Tuan regarded DIC Star hotel as a stepping stone to develop a hotel-golf complex with an 800-hectare golf course in Lap Thach district, Vinh Phuc province.
He did not hide his ambition to develop this complex with the same quality as Mission Hills in China. Mission Hills is currently the world’s largest golf complex with 12 18-hole golf courses.

The DIC leader stated that the new project would be developed around Van Truc lake, an infertile area. DIC has brought two French and American corporations there to survey, plan and intended to announce the plan in February 2019.
DIC Chairman revealed that he had worked with the international golf association to include the golf complex in the list of international golf tournament venues.
According to DIC Chairman, there was no pressure for bank loans in this project as he used the profit from the Nam Vinh Yen Urban Area project to reinvest in it.
Although the majority of staff in DIC Star Vinh Phuc hotel are Vietnamese except for some foreigners in the lobby department, the DIC Golf Course will be run by an international partner.
About the reason for choosing Vinh Phuc for his fifth project, Tuan emphasised that Vinh Phuc was an economically developed province and had attracted a lot of foreign capital flows. It has great potential for economic development, including tourism, but there have not been any high-class projects. In a further vision, it is known that DIC will develop tourism real estate projects and support services associated with international brands from 2018 to 2022 in Ba Ria – Vung Tau and Phu Quoc – Kien Giang.
