Bamboo Capital pours investment in three solar power plants in Long An province

The first project was kicked off with a total investment of $42 million.

BCG Bang Duong Energy Join Stock Company, a member of Bamboo Capital Group, on September 16 broke ground on the BCG Bang Duong solar power plant project in Thach An commune, Thach Hoa district, Long An province.

The 50.2-ha plant has a total investment of $42 million and a capacity of 40.6 MW and targets to produce 60 million kWh of power each year.

The plant is expected to be completed and put into operation by June 2019.

The investor will also develop a 110kV substation, build an internal road system and install a pump system for reservoirs and a 9-kilometre transmission line.

In Long An, in addition to BCG Bang Duong solar power plant project, Bamboo Capital is also investing in two other solar projects, the GAIA project with the capacity of 100MW and the Sunflower project with the capacity of 50MW.

Together with infrastructure and real estate, renewable energy is one of the three pillars of Bamboo Capital.

In the field of real estate, Bamboo Capital spent VND337 billion ($14.5 million) on acquiring the 11- hectare Maibu MGM Hoi An project in Quang Nam province. The construction of project was commenced on September 12, with the goal of building 94 villas and 600 condotels.
The project covers a total investment capital of VND2 trillion ($86.1 million) and is expected to be handed over by early 2020.
